In my most current video on Instagram I was expressing how we need to understand that what we go through is not random, nor a waste of time. Everything God puts us through is to make us stronger and able to take on the next step; eventually getting us to where we want to be. He knows what we can handle and what will prepare us for the journey ahead.

“It’s not about the destination but about the journey”. This it not only true for traveling but true for all aspects of life. We often question a situation because we are not exactly where we WANT to be. What we are failing to see is that we are exactly where we NEED to be. We are embarking on OUR personal journey so that we are able to REACH our destination! Having faith in God’s plan and believing we are right where we need to be, makes all the difference in the world.

Lets look at two scenarios:

Scenario 1: We are not content with our current situation, (whatever that may be). We constantly complain, get down on ourselves, have a closed mind and get stuck in that situation.

Scenario 2: We are not content with our current situation, (whatever that may be). We take this discomfort and figure out how to learn from it. We wake up each day and know that this is in God’s plan for us. Instead of complaining, we learn as much as we can from the situation. We plan for the future and use our optimism and faith to get us to the next open door.

Which scenario do you wholeheartedly believe will be more effective and efficient for your life? Which will have a positive impact? Which will you grow from? Which will increase the happiness of those around you?

We aren’t all going to be 100% satisfied with everything that comes our way, all of the time. With that being said, why would we waste one second of our precious time being dissatisfied when we know this to be true? Not everything is easy. What we want, takes dedication and determination. Success does not happen overnight. We should take our time and do everything to the best of our ability, within every endeavor.

Everything else aside, we are extremely privileged simply by where we are located on this globe. Unfortunately, from time to time we all overlook these blessings. We are so complacent with basic needs that we often times take them for granted. We should never lose sight of how fortunate we are to have a roof over our head, food to eat, a family that loves us and friends that would do anything for us. Take pride in what you do have and be current.

Mindset is everything. Use your inner-voice to find true meaning and reason. The answer always resides within us for God put it there.
