We are constantly distracted by what WE want that we forget what the Lord wants. It is our job to spread His name and His love. He has done His part. It’s OUR turn. Pray for God to use you for the sake of others.
1 Corinthians 8
Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.
Everything begins with us. We are not able to change the world until we look within and self reflect. Self awareness is key. We must be accountable for ourselves. We must be honest, humble, loving and caring – always. Be a good person. God sees all. He is only interested in honest, pure intentions. We must allow Him to settle in our hearts so that we are able to see what it is that He wants from us. All we have to do is inquire. He is waiting on YOU.
Our society and culture, or lack thereof, has us convinced that materialistic, earthly desires and pleasures are what will make us happy. We seemingly forget that nothing can feel as good as the love from God Himself.
He must be at the center of our relationships, experiences and interactions. If He is not, we will never truly experience joy or love.
He is waiting on us to share His name. THAT is the purpose of this life. THAT is the purpose of each and every one of us. It doesn’t matter WHAT we do.. it matters HOW and WHY we do it. Send a prayer up and spend time with the Lord. He’s been trying to reach out to you but you haven’t taken the time to notice. We all have busy lives but He should remain our top priority. After all, nothing is possible without Him by our side.
Rejoice in His name. You are infinitely blessed. You are loved.
