We’re natural consumers of information and junk food.

We must begin by forgetting everything that marketing and propaganda has “taught” us and travel back to our roots. Instead of eating merely to satisfy a hunger, we should eat in order to nourish our bodies. & guess what? It doesn’t have to be difficult. They want us to think it’s difficult so that we’re forced to rely on someone to tell us how to eat. This someone is making billions of dollars.

They = the Food&Beverage Industry, Hollywood, the Dairy Industry, FDA, USDA (FNS), lobbyists, etc.. basically congress.. (government).

We must stop taking advice from industries who aren’t interested in our health. It’s truly a disservice to the American people. At this point, we’re natural consumers of (questionable) information and junk food.

The articles and news headlines we see debating red vs. white meat, calorie vs. carb and so on is nothing but a wild goose chase. It’s not what’s important. Before we dive a little deeper, you must know – we as humans have natural instincts and a strong intuition. What feels right to you? What gives you energy? Which foods/activities make you feel lethargic and sleepy? We must begin to hone in and listen to what our body is telling us. We must use our own rationalization process when receiving any type of information and I have said this numerous times but… THINK FOR YOURSELF! Come to your own conclusions based off your life experiences. Our bodies are all   v a s t l y   different. We all would benefit from a whole-food, plant-based diet but what I mean is – I might store iron more efficiently than the next person so amounts of minerals and vitamins may vary.  *We’ll get more into that in a later blog.*

My point being – we all seem to be very confused when it comes to nutrition. I want to help. Agriculture, farming and nutrition is so important to me and I want us all to strive. I want us all to be healthy and happy individuals and I wholeheartedly believe living a healthy life begins and ends with nutrition. I will be emailing out a weekly newsletter full of nutritional facts, recipes, where/how to purchase healthy produce and much more.

Perhaps you want to transition into a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, or maybe you simply want to become a healthier version of yourself. Heck, you might even want to make fun of us herbivores! Whatever it is, comment your Email on this blog or send me a DM through Instagram @lindskor and I will add you to my list! Let the fun begin!

Much Love,

Gypsea Soul
